Four seasons. One career. And a press that never looks away.

You're a singer with a demo, a coat that isn't quite warm enough and a phone that doesn't ring. You have one year. Every card you play makes the news — and three papers decide how loud.

WHAT IT SIMULATES

Made for the Game Gauntlet SIM Jam. Overexposed simulates fame as a system: the attention economy around a rising star.

  • Three papers, three appetites. The tabloid Daily Flash, the music weekly b-side and the trade paper Marquee each print what they care about. The more famous you are, the bigger the headline.
  • Three ways to be famous. Stay a musician, cross over to the screen, or become famous for being famous: the cards you play decide which, and the papers change what they call you.
  • Hype, craft, money. Hype gets you noticed, craft is what you can actually do, and money buys you out of trouble.
  • Heat. Loud moves raise heat. Push it past the line and the tabloid goes to press: a scandal card lands in your deck. It can't be played, and it doesn't leave quietly.
  • A year of choices. Two managers, a rival called Juno Vale, two doors at the end of every season, an awards night — and 14 endings, decided by what the year made of you.

HOW TO PLAY

  • Mouse or touch. Click a card to play it. Hover over it (long-press on touch) to see what it will do, and which paper will print it.
  • Three actions a month. When you're done, press END TURN: the papers go to print, scandals land, and the month moves on.
  • Click a newspaper to bring it to the front. Deck & Discard shows your cards.
  • Best in fullscreen (itch's button, bottom right of the game frame). A run takes about 15 minutes.
  • House rules in the settings: Mark my stories and Reduce motion.

WHAT IT'S GOING FOR

A one-year celebrity-career simulation in deckbuilder form: every move that builds your fame also feeds the press that can sink you — for players who like short, replayable card games where every choice has a cost.

CURRENT BUILD

Early build v0.4. Updated regularly until the jam deadline.
